This box case with tripod is divided into four section vertically with railing, and top three section have double doors and the top door panel is fixed.
There are pattern of double-flowered camellia tree all over front section, and rocks, pine trees and old turtle in a pond on the left, and bamboo bush and a pair of crane on the right bottom.
The houdate(a thin board set on each side of a door) is decorated with cucumber pattern on reel and diagonal latticework base, the fixed panel is also decorated with rocks and rose flowers. These patterns decorated with the fine technique of carving, line engraving and black lacquer.  And the colorful lacquers of red oxide of iron, red, green and emerald are spread all over. Also Kinpaku was used on the base. Kinpaku is the technique of affixing gold foil to the surface of object with lacquer.
The transparent lacquer was used for the panels on both sides, back and top.
It is a brilliant and exquisite art work in Muromachi period, and is one of the particular technique of Kamakura-bori, using wood carving with thinly coated lacquer.
