It is a wooden octagon-shaped Buddhisit Platform.
All struts, top and bottom stiles and panelboards are decorated with golden or silver lacquer base. The struts have jewery bells and jewey canopy with Katsuma-mon (a pattern) in the center part. The top and the bottom stiles have three-pronged pestles in the middle, and the both sides have flowery pattern with mother-pearl inlay.
In the center of panel boards, the ko-zama (a foliated panel) is fitted in with gilt bronze ornamental border.
In every side panels of the octagonal platform, there are eight Karyobinga (Kalavinskas; Winged Female Angels) on each plate, and the one in front holds a percussion instrument and all others hold flower pots.
It expresses incomparable sophisticated beauty of Jodo, Buddhist paradise, by using fine art techniques of finely engraved lines on all embossing pattern, and adding incision for mother-pearl inlay.
