Total Length 16.2cm
Length of grip 5.6cm
Length of prong 4.4cm
Diameter of demon’seye 1.85cm

Gilt bronze, with a short and slim club, with five prongs strongly overhanging at each end.
It is excavated from the remain sight of Kyu-Goma-do hall, in Motsu-ji precinct in 1930.
Although it is covered with rust by being buried so many years, it shins out through the rusted part.
The grip has demons’ eyes and lotus relief, softly curved, and the prongs are strongly overhanging at both ends. Elegantly finished, with no artificial exaggeration. It shows the typical characteristics of gokosho in Heian period.
It has some distortion but no missing parts.

(It represent the indestructibility of Buddhist law, and the power of the Buddha to conquer evil.)
