This box case with four legs is made of paulownia wood carving and lacquered.
It is a narrow and long shaped box with Chushi ( a miniature shrine ) in the center part. It has iron plated decorative ornaments in main parts all around the edges.
It has very peculiar and interesting features suitable for pilgrimage, with oval shaped carrying board on the back for portability as well as a portable miniature shine in it.

It was supposed to be the work of Muromachi period. However the temple considered it to be the belonging of Minamoto no Yoshitsune, a legendary hero.
