Summary

It is a Sutra of Dai-Hannya-Kyo, paperbacked writing in India ink, 21 pages Each line of sutra contains seventeen characters.
In the postscript, the reason of the arrival was written in different writing, and with inscription of  October 22 in 1100, and the signature of San-i Tomochikayuki. In the back of the front page, there is some  brush writing by Bunkaku shonin, some famous priests in Mt. Takao-san,etc.
The year of 1100 was the flourish time of Hand-copied Sutra, and Kiyohira the first lord of Oshu Fujiwara Family was still alive.
The background of San-i Tomochikayuki is unknown, the family name of Nakarai is certainly existed, since there is an inscription which mentioned the relation of women with Nakarai name (so on), and the date December 10th 1098, inside of wooden Kannon statue in the Hall of Bishamon-Do.
It is a rare and precious example of scripture in Iwate.
