Going to Tokyo in 1869 and studying at University South School (the predecessor of the University of Tokyo). With the help of American Robert Carlisle, devised the Japanese shorthand method. We announced the "Japanese Hearing Writing Method" in the annual news report of Meiji 15 (1882), and tried to put it into practical use. It was adopted by the 1st Reichstag in 1890 and made minutes since then. On the other hand, it will bring about a major turning point in breaking the mass communication world. There is a title of electric writing Shogun (named by Hirofumi Ito), a self-made watch name "Japanese character 候".
