Overview
This large ginkgo is located in the temple of Shosenji Temple, about 1 km north of Kuji city.
At the time of designation, it was the largest ginkgo in Japan, but a part of the main stem was broken due to the typhoon in 1954 (1947, 48), but it is changed to be one of Japan's leading ginkgo Absent.
Since the tree is an old large tree, a large number of trabeculae of about 120 hang down from the bottom of a thick branch, which is the object of faith.
The age is estimated to be about 1100 years.
